Bujumbura, 21 May 2025: The Secretariat of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) welcomes the appointment of H.E. Dr. Kamil El-Tayeb Idris Abdelhafiz as Prime Minister of the Republic of the Sudan. The Secretariat of ICGLR also commends General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, for this appointment, which marks a significant advancement in Sudan’s political transition and constitutes an important step in the implementation of the roadmap of peace and stability declared by the Government of Sudan.
